Tassie networking meet-ups?

I imagine there are networking meet-ups already going on in Tassie, but I don't know of them! Being fairly new to starting a business, I think I'd really benefit though.

Can anyone tell me of any I should be going along to? If there are none (though I find that hard to believe), perhaps we could start one?

I went into a promotions shop in Hobart about a year ago and chatted to the owner, who ended up inviting me to a networking group who meet/met once a week I think at the Salamanca Inn.

I know this thread (also my account) hasn't had much activity recently, but I thought it was the most appropriate place to let people know.

There's a Meet Up group in Hobart that meets every Friday evening. It's aimed at startups (called Startup Tasmania), but any small local businesses would be more than welcome to attend.

Greetings, you may also want to check out the events that Start Up Tassie run in conjunction with Pitch Club & Servcorp. This months events had 70 plus people at it. There is another scheduled for June -

Hi All

The Business Enterprise Centre in Launceston runs regular networking sessions, they also run education sessions (some are even free!!).

I htink they may run similar things in the North West, I not about Hobart.

But worth having a look for.
