They don't have that option. the call just just not get accepted (at least on my Samsung)

My point is that once you know that it is one of these 'courtesty calls' you then add them to your reject call list for the next time they want to hassle you

It's easier, cheaper and better customer service for me to take calls as they come in.
Thats the point, after the first time you don't have to, increasing your business efficiency!

Being in IT services means I get a lot of client calls, as opposed to telemarketing calls. With the advent of VoiP numbers it's hard to tell which are call centers and which is a client.
Huh? Of course you have to answer the calls initially, but then once you have added them to the reject calls then in future they cannot get through. You can go back later and remove them if your wish. (again referring to the Samsung Galaxy phone - I imagine most high end smartphones will have a reject call feature.)

You know, I'm utterly surprised that no-one's taken this potential mega-application to the next obvious level.

What if you had this exact same blocking capability, PLUS the option to block (or auto-send-to-voicemail) any callers who had already been blocked by a certain number of people in your city/state/country?

(Plus, of course, personal configuration and adjustment options to suit your own preferences, in case you like getting calls from printer ink salespeople or political pundits.)

Imagine cutting down one annoying call per week to one a year, or less... AND your own blocking choices would not only stop annoying people calling you, they'd stop those same callers getting through to friends, family, business partners, you name it.

JaneB and leadgenerationau like this.

Ha! "For future reference" or should we say, "Future marketing". I hate getting those calls especially during weird hours.
