Default Auto reject of calls - LOVE IT!!

I love the 'add to reject list' feature on my Samsung phone - I put the telecanvassing calls on it. Amazing, despite asking to be removed from their list, how often they try to call again - rejected of course....As it is a business phone it cannot go on the do not call list....

Sorry i don't know - no doubt someone here will know...then you can start receiving less 'courtesy calls' and as I have had in recent days, a load of calls from Optus business (now blocked...bye bye!)

There's a new App called iBlacklist Manager. Search for it in the iTunes store. 99cents.

Thanks Karen! Will check it out. Just got hammered by one of the major telcos today but it went to my office line rather than mobile. Really got to get around to getting on that Do not call register.

They wanted to "update my contact details for future reference".

Grrrrrrrr........

If your numbers are business numbers you cannot go onto the "do not call' - it is only for domestic numbers.

Yes, I've had calls from Optus too, cheeky buggers wanted to update their database and when I pointed out I wasn't a customer they said it was in case I needed to use Optus services in the future. Unbelievable.

Bugger, I guess it's a little frustrating but I secretly do enjoy tormenting them at times, feigning interest.

What gets me is that they use different lines within their business to call you, so the number used is different each time. I have been getting calls from a finance company that I spoke to briefly and told them that I wasn't the person to talk to regarding finances as my business is yet to get off the ground. My baby was crying, so I told them I had to go. They are still persisting to call me, so I just let it ring. If they were serious, they would leave a message on my voicemail - they never do though! Funny that hey!!!!

Only problem with rejecting calls is having them leave messages.

I try to answer all my calls as I a) dont want to pay to listen to messages b) don't want to pay to make the return call.

It's easier, cheaper and better customer service for me to take calls as they come in.

Being in IT services means I get a lot of client calls, as opposed to telemarketing calls. With the advent of VoiP numbers it's hard to tell which are call centers and which is a client.
