How could someone write something so accurate and encapsulate the small business way of thinking so well and give it away?

Only read the first 5 pages so far but what I have read is spot on, almost scary.

After reading the first half dozen pages and skimming the rest I saw it as 1 big pitch for their business solution.
Saying that, the information does look like it's useful, but maybe just a tad too much selling.

Did anyone every download the book I posted about a few moths ago?

No I didn't.

I thought I may have been a bit critical with my first comment so I had another quick look at his book.
"For me" it looks more like a really long sales letter and not a book at all. I have no problem with long sales letters - but I think he has used to many long copy techniques and presented it as a book.

I still think there is probably lots of great stuff in there so when I get time I'll give it a read.
Just out of curiosity I'd be interested in other peoples opinions on how the information is presented and if they have a feeling like they are being sold to rather than taught?

Agree with Ray a good sales letter / book, but then there are a few of these style books around, some have even been developed into courses that cost several hundred dollars to attend.
I have often said the Americans sure know how to sell, and often there are good points within the book or course to pick up on.

I think we can all relate to the first part of the book, all work and no pay, but this is what sorts out the genuine soloist from those that want to make a quick buck.

If you really need help in this area then Robert Gerrish is the man to see, he's not cheep, but he does know what he's talking about.

Hi Ray/Burgo/Leela, yep it was a sales brochure, no hiding it, but it definitely had value which most sales brochures (including my own) do not.

I made a mental note to read the book you put up a while back then could not find the post, going to give it a go now.

It did tell a good story though and I ended up empathising with the people, it gave me the irrational feeling of wanting to buy something from them even though I had at that point no idea what they were selling.

- No I did not buy anything, but I have to say, mix a booklet like that up with something I actually need or want and there would be a sale.
