Default Amazon Booksurge

Has anyone used Amazon Booksurge or similar to print and send published material?

I am wanting to sell a manual through my website and need a print on demand service.

Any suggestions??

Richard

Overseas PoD tends to be expensive due to postage ...

I'm a fan of the Australian company, BookPal ...

http://www.bookpal.com.au/

There IS a cost to set up, but the quality is good ...

Yeah, I tried them, but they only do bog-standard books. I am looking for more of a "manual" type of production, ie, ring binding in a plastic folder.

Thanks anyway...

lulu.com is a well established self-publishing company. They say they have the widest range of print on demand options and this includes spiral bound etc.

See http://www.lulu.com/publish/books/ for loads more info and a cost calculator.

In February 2009 they introduced local printing in Australia & NZ so shipping rates should be lower than Amazon's US service, although I haven't investigated this.

Hope this helps
Andrew

It's not particularly lower and most importantly - the printers they use are CRAP.

DEFINITELY take Booksurge over Lulu - my experiences over the last 3 years with Lulu have ALL been negative - poor quality, non-existent customer service and no recognition that if you're outside of the US you're screwed.

I HAVE heard good things about Booksurge, although haven't used them myself.
