Dear Soloists,

You will have noticed ads appearing around the site and shortly you'll see them within our weekly email newsletter. We figure it's best to tell you where we stand with regard advertising.

Let me make it clear that we are not about to fill every white space with ads. We love the look of Flying Solo and from your feedback, you like it too.

We accept advertising because it helps pay the costs of our online presence and while the income we derive is extremely modest, it is significant to our ability to operate.

As our traffic grows, our appeal will grow. As our appeal grows, our ad revenue income will grow. More income allows us to create more value for you.

If we are approached to run ads that are false, libelous, exploitative or simply look really nasty we'll turn them away and you won't find us supporting advertising with pseudo editorial comment. What we say as editors is what we believe, not what someone is paying us to say.

Flying Solo is here to support you and our mission to become simply the best online resource for those going it alone in business remains. Free, high quality content is at the core of our offering and we have no intention of changing (or charging for) that service.
