Behind the Business: cryofitness

Whole Body Cryotherapy users report the experience is invigorating and improves a variety of conditions.

Administered through the use of a cryogenic chamber, Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is a treatment whereby the patient is placed in a cryogenic chamber for a short duration (i.e. no more than three minutes, which is comparable to extreme ice swimming). Whole Body Cryotherapy originated in Japan in 1880.

There are two types of devices used for the treatment of Whole Body Cryotherapy. There is the Cryo Chamber where multiple people can use at once in a small room. The other and more popular is the Cryosauna. The Cryosauna is a single-person device which envelopes a patient’s body while keeping the head and neck area exposed to room air above the device.

At Zoo Fitness we're big supporters of Whole Body Cryotherapy and highly recommend all our members to incorporate it into your weekly training routine. We are excited to have CRYO Fitness under the same roof! Come down and check them out!
