Contributor Guidelines

Message from the Editor

Last updated October 2008

The number of people looking to join our team of contributors grows in line with Flying Solo's burgeoning audience and exposure.

This puts us in the luxurious position of being able to continually raise the bar with increasingly stringent guidelines... and sure enough, you continue to rise to meet them! However, the success rate remains consistent, with around one in four applicants being brought on board.

If you're looking to beat the odds, my one piece of advice is: adhere to the guidelines! In fact I'll go further and say that if you deviate from the process outlined below in any way (e.g. email me directly with your articles) I will not consider your application.

On a more cheerful, less bossy note, I know the procedure seems detailed but it does provide an excellent foundation from which to develop a lasting relationship between Flying Solo and contributors.

Finally, because our target audience is solo business owners in Australia, preference will be given to contributors who are also based in Australia.

Thanks for your interest and good luck!
