What’s your proudest moment?

I would have to say re-starting my business. I had owned a similar business for six years and due to some personal events I had to restart from scratch with a new name and outlook. Luckily a large number of my previous clients followed me and I am incredibly glad the opportunity presented itself. I turned a negative into a positive and ran with it.  

What’s the cheapest, most effective bit of marketing you’ve ever done?

Simply, enjoying what you do. The majority of our new clients come through client referrals. If you are good at what you do, love what you do and take care of your existing clients, they will be more than happy to pass on your details (without you even knowing). Bonus is, it is free! In my opinion, it is the best form of advertising there is.

What would be your advice to aspiring soloists?

Do your homework first. Whatever field you want to get into, make sure you have a solid plan of attack. You need to be dedicated, responsible, willing to learn and passionate about what you do. Don’t just run head first into it thinking about how much money you can make and what colour PJs you are going to wear if you will work from home. Be willing to do tasks that you may not like to do but are necessary. It’s all a part of running a successful business.

What do you love most about running your own business? 

The freedom it provides and the endless lessons to you learn along the way. Every project and every day is different.

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

“Always keep your ears open. Know what is going on around you”, which can be interpreted a few ways.

What’s the biggest challenge you face at work?

Clocking off at a reasonable hour and not working weekends. I am slowly getting better at it but it is a work in progress. Finding a balance is the key.

How would you describe yourself in three adjectives?

Creative, curious and determined.

I provide graphic and website design services to clients right across the world. Currently ebook design is our most popular service with a large number of small business owners and entrepreneurs realising the benefits of publishing online. Requests for social networking graphics are also popular right now.

I work alongside a dedicated team of freelancers with a variety of skills and experience, that our clients benefit from. Our clients are loyal due to our dedication to their project, competitive rates and that we go the extra mile to ensure they are very satisfied with our service.
