Here, we ask the tough questions.

You’ve got a free half hour during your work day. What do you do?

I go down to our little village, sit in my favourite coffee shop and enjoy a latte.

What’s your number one stress relief tactic (keep it clean!)?

Taking my dog Gus for a walk.

What’s the smartest bit of marketing you’ve ever done?

Well, that’s exactly what I help business do – market their websites, so I can’t reveal my “bag of tricks”!

What’s the most enjoyable element of your work? And the least enjoyable?

Most enjoyable: Helping businesses get their website top rankings and actual leads.

Least enjoyable: That’s a hard question because I really love what I do, but I have to say fixing poorly designed websites that look good, but do nothing.

What’s the best thing about being a soloist? And the worst thing?

The best thing is being able to start work at whatever time I choose. The worst thing is being able to finish work at whatever time I choose, sometimes quite late.

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

Believe in yourself and only work with clients that appreciate you and also believe in you.

What would be your advice to aspiring soloists?

Just give it a go – a real go, none of this “try” nonsense – there is no “try” only “do”.

What website do you visit every day?

Google (of course).

What book are you reading?

I usually have several books on the go. The Now Habit by Neil Foire and Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You’ve Got by Jay Abraham are my current 2 favourites.

If your office caught fire, what would you grab first? What would you toss into the flames?

Well nothing actually – I have adequate insurance, I back up offline and there is nothing that I’m really attached to – other than my family.

If you could pick anyone to be your personal assistant, who would it be and why?

My daughter Amy. She is very efficient and friendly and has the best organisational and people skills I know.

How would you describe yourself in three adjectives?

Passionate, friendly, sociable.

And now comes the plug!

What do you do? Who for? And how does it benefit them?

I specialise in creating business websites for small to medium sized businesses that bring in fresh leads, new customers and make money.
Using online marketing, I turn their website into an effective lead generation tools that make money.
