After hearing Andrew Griffiths speak at Flying Solo LIVE! I decided to read his book, The Me Myth. I’ve only just started reading it, but I’m already finding Andrew’s powerful mix of raw honesty and realistic advice (based on life experiences that are both amazing and tragic) to be a rich source of life fertiliser!
In fact, it was Andrew’s book that inspired me to write this article. Can books rock our world? Absolutely!

I’ll kick off by sharing some inspirational books that have changed my life:
- You can do it! by Paul Hanna. I read this book many moons ago and it was my first exposure to the ‘be accountable for every single thing that happens in your life’ message.
- The Liver Cleansing Diet by Dr Sandra Cabot. I read this book around 12 years ago and I still drink a glass of lemon juice every morning. It’s a refreshing way to start the day. Give it a try!
- An inspirational quote from Robert Gerrish. He said “95% perfect is better than no action at all”. This quote sits right near my computer, and it has prompted me to take action on numerous occasions. (Thanks Robert!)
- Manhood and Raising Boys by Stephen Biddulph. These books have helped me understand males a lot better. Both of these books have changed my life in profound and beautiful ways.
- The 4-hour work week by Timothy Ferris. This book totally reframed my thoughts about time management, work productivity and life priorities.
