    Hello,
    I am planning on starting an e-commerce (Shopify) store in the next 12 months. At the moment, I'm just gathering information as I plan things out. Can anybody give me an idea at how much I can expect to pay for SEO for the store?
    Thanks,
    Bec

    Hi Bec,

    SEO services vary widely as do their prices.

    Most charge by the month.

    As a starting point, if you thought in the range of $400 - $2000 per month, you would find plenty of providers.

    Cheers

    Like Paul says, there's a huge range in how much you should expect to pay.

    A few pieces of advice:
    • Don't go for the cheapest option. It's cheap for a reason and, if SEO is done poorly, it can actually harm your website.
    • SEO is generally an ongoing practise, so look at it as a monthly cost/investment.
    • If you're not ready for an ongoing contract, it's definitely worth hiring someone to do some work on your site very early on in the process. They can help with keyword research, site structure etc that will help give you a solid foundation.

    @OliverCivic

    I could not agree more with the comment below:

    The value of a solid site structure alone for SEO is priceless.

    I'll have to look more into ECorner. From a quick look at the website, it looks like it could have potential. Thanks for the tip
