Yes, Guy Kawasaki’s method may work for him, but I can’t really see how he can give attention to the over 30,000 people who he follows.

Who knows, He may have a staff of minions scanning everything that’s twitted by each of the fans. And he may have people writing his tweets – he has over 15,000. Pretty well a continuous stream!

I ‘d agree that following a lot of people does give a good impression. Unlike the one given by http://www.twitter.com/HillaryClinton who has nearly 7000 followers, but follows nobody herself.

There are many suggestions about how to use twitter. Try them, and accept/reject/modify them to suit your needs.
