Thanks Warren. That’s of more help than your first response.

For your interest:

I’ve used points for the flight but wasn’t concerned for that anyway. The flights would be a cost of visiting inlaws and I wouldn’t be claiming them.

I was more concerned about how you split the hire car, accom, etc and what is claimable.

Taking photographs for a living is not wandering around with a happy snapper. It takes significant amount of time, equipment and expense to get saleable images.
