our main motivation for using out sourced sales would be lead generation rather than actual sales, we could then identify the clients requirements + needs and tailor a solution accordingly rather than simply selling them a canned solution.

We have in the past (other business) employed this strategy in conjunction with our CRM from memory out of a 10,000 client mailout we got around 200 – 300 responses of which around 30 became clients – a pretty minimal conversion rate but one that paid for the database of information (which we imported into our CRM)
