Yeah, we call it “sell them what they want, give them what they need”. Sell them the ‘easy’ answer then give them what they actually need …

(of course, you need to do this totally congruently – I’m not saying lie and then jack up the price … I’m saying explain to them ONLY what they really NEED to know, price it fairly, then do everything you need to know … )
