I’ve been working on a new program and have purchased about 50 business books already this year (yay to the dollar rising!)
My interest is in helping people find an ideal life and transform their business models via leverage so I would recommend:
Linchpin by Seth Godin, the natural leader of the herd for creative producers.
Millionaire Messenger by Brendon Burchard – very succinct, lays out the hybrid leveraged “expert” business model extremely well
The Passion Test by Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood
Find Your Purpose, Change Your Life by Carol Adrienne
Content Rules by Ann Handley and CC Chapman is great if you are a content producer of any description
If you are a business consultant / management consultant I would highly recommend Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur – a book which straddles creativity and hard theory very effectively.
A lot of coaches seem very weak on theory in this area and are saying “this worked for me, so you should do it”.
Free on Kindle and a must read is “Do the Work” by Steven Pressfield
I’m going to start a thread about mentors to follow, as some of the free stuff I’ve found is incredibly valuable.
Enjoy! Cate
