Like others have mentioned:
1. Finish any current work you have oustanding
2. Mke sure you have clear terms and conditions about what is included and what is not included for any new jobs.
3. Go talk to the owner/manager – don’t make it a bit hoo har meeting – just mention that you appreciate their business, enjoy working with them and are looking to continue to do so – but that you also need to quote on all jobs before being booked and make them aware of any new terms and conditions that they should be aware of before accepting quotes from you.
Good clients are difficult to come by so be very nice and see if you can move forward so it’s a win-win situation – as cheesy as it sounds!
