Its a bit like when you see the police and everyone thinks they are going to spot the bit on your car that’s not quite right – they are not always looking to book someone, they just do their job.
What I am trying to say is that I very much doubt that a lawyer is going to be looking to make trouble and with all the spam that goes around now they would have much easier targets than you.
Make sure you follow any rules (e.g. CAN SPAM for email marketing) and you’ll be fine.
Also to ensure you get some response ensure it is relevant, targeted and personalised, otherwise it will just get thrown in bin.
