I guess it depends what line of business you are looking to start up in. If it is retail based, or a cafe or something, that requires your full time presence, there is little room for choice.

If however your business is service based, I can recommend easing into it by running it whilst still working (as long as there is no conflict of course).

Yes, it does mean that you cannot be devoted to the business 9-5 everyday, but depending on your need for security, this is one option to consider.

Otherwise, have a decent marketing budget, go hunt some clients down and get super busy quickly, so that it doesn’t matter :)

Hope this helps. Oh, and of course work out a budget for both business and personal – you should look to reduce your non-essential spending in your personal life for probably 6-12 months, if your only income is from the business
