You could also add a facebook shop to your page – then you can load your products and choose what ever discount you want for those friends who have clicked like.

I set it up to trial the products and it’s not too bad. I just missed on step in the process so it took longer than I thought, but once I had the right link – it worked fine.

I can also set the shop to be my default page when people find me on facebook – but I haven’t done that yet.

Read http://www.insidefacebook.com/2011/02/24/payvment-shopping-mall-app/ to find out how to install this free app.Another Facebook page shop option is “ShopTab”, here is a link http://www.facebook.com/ShopTabApp

Another thing when setting up custom FB page is to have the files / images hosted on https. Facebook is getting more secure and most users use https on their account settings and that means if they go to a Facebook page which just has files sitting on http – unsecured server – they’ll just get an error message.

There are ways to get around this without having to get costly SSL certificates. One solution is to use Amazon S3 for https, better explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/369835-facebook-iframes-pages-https-free.html
