Hi Victor,

I see that all the time, when G chooses to list you in the Places section it drops the other listing. Sometimes the two will co-exist for a little while but generally G will settle on a places listing only for the first page.

The Places part of Google seems to be a very fluid work in progress, what appears as places results some weeks does not weeks later – frustrating!

I’d agree with JohnW that G seems to be merging Places with the normal organics so the normal organic stuff is now more important for good Places rankings, I’d say that includes increasing the authority of your site by getting links from relevant other sites (and if G continues its path maybe even some social mention will become important too – G+ anyone?)
