Seems whether you’re talking search engines, social media, or any other user reach channel, it’s a constantly changing landscape.
And was having a (slightly drunken) chat with a colleague well versed on all things social media, and he’s pretty convinced that the ground is open for either a new social media entity without all the restrictions that FB seem to have, or else one of the other channels (ie. twitter) morphing into something along the FB lines. Either way, he believes FB are biting the hand that feeds it (ie. users) and if continuing will go the way of myspace within the decade. Will be interesting to see what happens.
