I like the site, it looks good, but perhaps lacks a bit of personality to separate you from the other crowd funding sites out there?
Your challenge is in building a marketplace, in that you need both projects and backers (a bit like the chicken and the egg!). At the minute it feels a bit like walking in to an empty restaurant.
I’m haven’t looked at the keywords in terms of rankings etc, but my thoughts are you might see a good ROI by using social media to promote your business and encourage backers to take a look at your projects.
Perhaps take one project which could go ‘viral’ and work with the project owner to create a campaign out of it – use this to help generate social mentions, blog articles, press etc – this will help to kick-start things a bit and give you the links you need to boost your domain authority.
