It’s hard to get a definition on what inferred consent actually is, specifically is a purchase a ‘business relationship’; honestly I don’t know and I’m no legal expert.

“Don’t push the idea of inferred consent too far. If a complaint is made, it’s the Australian Communications and Media Authority that will be the judge. ACMA’s guidelines suggest that a one-off purchase such as a “t-shirt or groceries from a shop, attendance at a concert, performance or movie” is not a good basis for inferring consent.”
That’s a little to blurry for me and I’ll just err on the side of caution.
