Hi Josh,
From a brand perspective…

If you are buying an existing ‘rundown business’, make sure you give the business a serious brand overhaul and back up your hype with quality food and customer service.

There was a restaurant in my local area that sold/rebranded and there are still the same old issues, despite the shiny new modern fit out.

It all comes down to your values, mission, goals and hiring staff that hold your vision and will be brand advocates too.

Customer experience + stunning food is essential in hospitality.

And great branding is essential too. Hipster cafes are everywhere. Be real and authentic and stay true to your values – and have a great brand from day one.

That’s my advice :)
