If you can beat the average returns of Superannuation through a different vehicle (structure) then you can be better off at retirement even without the tax benefits of the super framework. The tax benefits are only as goods as the nett performance of your return.

Some soloists and others are in this unique position that they don’t legally have to contribute to Superannuation which doesn’t make a level Super playing field for all Australians and of course can back fire in retirement if you aren’t able to beat the average returns outside super.

Assuming the most that can’t beat Super returns using their own separate strategy then, it doesn’t make sense why everyone should equally have to legally contribute and not limited to traditional salary workers etc.
