I would suggest signing up for a trial of myob. You would probably only need the essentials version. The main area to get comfortable with is the invoicing. If you have a logo already, your invoices can be customised to look more professional. There are lots of other tools that bookkeepers and accountants use to make the job simpler. We provide all of our clients with receipt bank to store a copy of all of their receipts and then if they want to do some of the bookkeeping, they can, or if they run out of time, we will keep it up to date. Once your turnover goes over $75K you will need to register for gst, which is another thing to consider. I would suggest speaking with an accountant to make sure you get it all set up correctly to start with. It definitely has potential to grow. Good luck.
