Hi All,

Example: Purchase goods for resale on Amazon (U.S.) and pay by credit card. The purchase along with a separate small charge labelled “international transaction fee” will appear on the credit card statement.

Should the intnl fee be added to the purchase price to form COGS? Or can the intnl fee be expensed immediately as a bank charge? Or is either approach acceptable?

Cheers,
Kevin
Hi Kevin,

No Accountant here so please take with a grain of salt.

I have previously had these fees and catagorised them as bank fees.

Cheers
