Is there a geo targeting advantage to including state in URL?

Depends what you’re trying to do. Mostly likely not.

I feel like: domain.com.au/locations/state/town/ is unnecessarily clunky.

You don’t need /locations/

Which is exactly why I’m building a draft version of the website first. Experience has taught me there is no substitute for preparation and planning in business.

Map out your intended site structure within a spreadsheet and look at it and ask yourself “Does this make sense? Will this allow us to easily expand or evolve if our business changes? Can we keep this neat and tidy or will it end up a total mess? Will it be easy to manage? Will users be able to find what they’re looking for”

Rule number one – less is always best.

Thank you taking the time to reply, it is muchly appreciated. Also I took a stroll through your website. Love your style and attitude. I’ve marked your coaching course on my wishlist of things to do before the business officially launches.

Thanks. I’m here anytime if you want to learn directly from me.
