I would definitely differentiate Squarespace from other online site builders such as Wix, Weebly and most others. The former is FAR better built to deliver a professional level website, with regards to output code quality, site speed, SEO factors and various others. I’m not going to go into the technical reasons why here, plenty via Google on that if you really want.

The online/self site builders that are worth considering at all are:
– Squarespace
– Webflow (I’ve not used this much, but have heard very good things from developers I respect)
– WordPress.com (their hosted option)
– Shopify (for ecommerce)

If you want to do it yourself, I would choose from those services and avoid the others.
