Hello everyone,

My name is Pratheepa,
I’m working as a disability support worker since 5 years.
I would like to start my own business. I would like to start disability home care business. Please advice me how to register and how much money I need to start.
2. How to register with NDIS to become a provider to set up Disability accommodation Services.
Do I need to find find a house before I register with NDIS or can I register with NDIS without setting up a house?

thanks for your advice in advance.

Hi Pratheepa,

I assume that you will be providing the SDA (Specialist Disability accommodation) under the NDIS?

The accommodation you provide needs to meet the SDA accessibility standard.

This standard has four categories of SDA design which are set out in the SDA Rules:

  • Improved Liveability
  • Robust
  • Fully Accessible
  • High Physical Support.

Please check out this website for details:

If you need a PDF copy of the design guide, please let me know.
