It is also important to somehow check the work before it is sent to you eg, fitting it to a component. measuring to the sub-millimetre etc and having an “out” in the contract if you are not happy with what you receive.
I don’t know much about manufacturing but do know there are common pitfalls to be avoided and everything becomes exponentially riskier when you can’t be there giving feedback and direction during the first batches.
