    Hi,

I am just wondering if I need to show ABN on my website somewhere?
Also, I am not registered for GST but do I still need to show GST for tax invoice to customer or can I just show purchased price only?

    Hi,

From my won experience, it’s not compulsory to show your abn, however showing such info makes you business look from professional and transparent.

If you are not registered for GST, you can’t charge GST and therefore your invoices can’t be called “TAX INVOICE”. “INVOICE” should suffice.

Also you cannot claim GST paid to your suppliers.

    Cheers!

    Hi Illuso,

As you’re not registered for GST I don’t believe you’re allowed to add GST and must issue the invoice as ‘INVOICE’ not ‘TAX INVOICE’

I know companies are required to display the ABN on public documents, but I’m unsure whether it applies to other business types – http://www.asic.gov.au/asic/ASIC.NSF/byHeadline/Your%20company%20and%20the%20law#housekeeping
