    Hello all.
I work in marketing for a Lead Generation company that offers telemarketing & call centre services. We’ve got a surplus of leads, and some clients have given us permission to resell these leads. They’re mainly for solar companies (the leads have all been verified to be eligible for the marketed services) but we have leads in other industries (i.e. Forex, Real Estate and Investment) that are not being used.
My question is, what would be a good method of selling these on to other solar companies, OR would there be any other industries that could use these leads based on their qualifications?
    Thanks.

    Dave,

Cheers! I’ve tried Craigslist and Gumtree but they’re not getting many bites. What are some better classified sites for this kind of stuff?

    Why not telemarket to telemarketers?

And/or go straight to the prospective end user?

If that’s the skill set available to you, why not utilise it?

Aside from that, look at which keywords are pulling the best search volumes and create a page to target them?

A combination of active and passive approaches will yield better results.

Maybe some of the list brokers would be interested? They would certainly be a good brain to pick in any case?

You’re only likely to get a dribble of inexperienced (and low budget) tire kickers for said product in those kind of spaces.

Empathise that even when people buy leads from a broker it can end in tears…

Leads really need to be a good fit to work well, and the perception of leads found on some page in the ass end of a classified site is, well…

Right or wrong people will look for a lead broker that appears legit and professional.

But, approaching over the phone…well, personaility and rapport goes a long way through direct contact.

It depends on what you expect to get back from it, and whether its worth it for how much it will require.

But either way, you will fair better if your outcome it to establish good relationships with either “centers of influence” (people who have clients that want leads – other telemarketers, list brokers etc) or “end users”.

If you don’t look professional (I mean a clean looking list broking site) and focus on the sell you will need buckets of rapport – or you’ll just be bailing out a sinking boat the whole time.

I’d start by calling the solar companies, and emailing details or samples of data and work on establishing trust, rapport and value – then you have something to sell.

Selling is about perception – not about how good the product actually is. People buy on perception of quality and value. And only if the quality is there will you get continued purchase.

    Good Luck!
