    Hi everyone..

Just wondering what everyone’s opinions are about some alternatives to using Australia Post for our online orders?

As pretty annoyed with them over there latest price increase, especially when they have decided to remove the under 250g parcel size.

So we’re currently mainly using 500g – 5kg regular and express parcels. Plus we send some items overseas via airmail aswell.

Are there any couriers out there who can compete with the Australia post prices? or offer additional benefits which I should look at.

We’re based in perth, doing around 1500 parcels a year and on the increase.

Which couriers should I be considering?

    Regards Scott

There are lots of shipping alternatives but at the end of the day 1500 parcels a year is not a lot and Australia Post is probably your best solution. If you want to look at it a little differently you could try a shipping aggregator that will make a decision on the best shipper for you. One very successful Australian company is Temando (http://www.temando.com.au). You may find that they get you better rates than you could get directly. If your don’t mind some extra development then they have a nice set of integration methods for online stores.

We have been using a company called e-go (as well as using Australia Post). In a lot of cases they work out cheaper than Australia post and provide quite a good service.
