Hi everyone!
My name is Paul I live in Perth. I received an offer from European company to distribute their products across Australia.
I’m working on Perth market right now and would love some ideas from forum members about the product and distribution as I am new to distribution area. Also I would like to get in contact with people who are located in different parts of Australia and would like to join me in this business.
The product is called Velo Sock , this is my website – http://www.velosock.com.au , it comes from Latvia and I have sole distribution rights in Australia so I’m looking for people to help me distribute.
The idea of the product is to keep house/apartment clean from bicycle dirt. You can see that in the website how it looks.
Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

As a cyclist myself, I rarely refer to my steed/2 wheeler/Niner/bike as a bicycle – if you are looking to appeal to those that get their bike dirty, maybe think about how they would respond to the language used.
I would also consider contacting SuperCheap, as they own GoldCross Cycles, as a potential stockist. Their head office is in Lawnton, and whilst they have a large coverage, they are still a relatively small company, and may be able to provide some guidance about getting your product stocked.
Secondly, I would contact the owners of major bike forums, such as mtbdirt.com.au and speak to them about advertising options.
Just a couple of ideas, I hope they help

HelloI’m a bit confused about your term ‘distributor’. Do you mean you are looking for shops to stock this product? This would be called ‘wholesaling’ or ‘stocking’.

Up::0Hi Paul,
Wecome to Flying Solo, you will love it around here. So many peeps in the know.
I just had a look at your website and i love the concept and the product Velosock, what a great idea. Many wives around the world will like it too, especially when their hubbies or even kids bring the dirty bike inside the house.I would be interested to hear more about this. I would basically like to ask the same question as Jenny Spring, are you looking at your wholesale options or other?
Kind Regards

Hi Paul,
I’m a Sales Agent and would love the opportunity to present your product.
I deal with Rebel Sport (part of Supercheap – who own Goldcross). Could you please PM me at bcurline@optusnet.com.au and we can discuss a possible arrangement. I’m not looking to take on any more major distributions at the moment, although silly not to use my current contacts with a product that fits perfectly – this could benefit us both greatly.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards

I am an IT bloke and I mostly know about the more serious side of cycling but I do know a lot of people that are involved. So I am very interested in learning more. I am in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne .
