    Hey Flying Solo Members :)

Have started building websites for small businesses in my area.

Can I get a community list of all the pros of getting your small business online:

    1. Google is increasingly using localised searches so have a website as a small business is just becoming more and more important.

    2. People want to look you up before they come and see you. Places like restaurants, hair salons. To know: what’s on the menu, prices, etc..

    3. More advertising and Marketing options are open for you to try. Ie; Google adwords, yahoo sponsored, facebook ads. Although I do suggest spending a lot of time researching the ins and outs before you enter you account details.

Please add your own ideas on top of this I want to create a great list!

Generally any business that would have obtained significant sales leads from the Yellowpages last century, should have a business website and is probably a candidate for geographically focused PPC search campaign.

But just having a website is not sufficient. The website needs to be capable of converting PAID advertising profitably, otherwise the site owner doesn’t have a scalable business. Being totally dependent on organic traffic from Google is a mugs game.
