    So I am going to have a Capital Loss carried forward on my tax return.

    It is coming about because I sold an overseas property.

    It means I can offset future capital gains against the loss.

    I now need to find a way to make a capital gain. Might have to buy some shares and hope they increase?

    Is there any other way I can do it? What other tips could I follow?
