    Hello folks!

First of all – I’m not from Australia so please be gentle with me, okay?

Now, where I live every business is required by law now to host somewhere online their income statement for each year. This was public information before, but now it must also be hosted online somewhere.

So doing a research on a competitor based in Australia I was wondering if I Australian companies are required to do the same and if so (eg. if this information is public) – where could it be found, if it can?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi there Partee,

there are various reporting requirements made of public companies (although I don’t believe that includes having your financial statements on the company website), but in Australia there isn’t a requirement of all companies/businesses to include their income statements online – the details of a (non public) company’s accounts are usually only known to the business owner, their accountant and the Australian Tax Office.

Fascinated to know where you’re based partee….

    Bye for now
    Fiona
