I notice with lots of commercial real estate leasing, there are two different agencies looking after the property – do they work in collaboration or are they competition for one another in finding a tenant?

The reason I ask is I’m finding the communication lacking with the agent I’m dealing with, so I’m wondering if I’ll get better results by contacting the other agency.

Tends to be an OPEN LISTING meaning first agent to sign someone up gets the commission… Maybe speak to the agent you have been dealing with and ask what the delays are, then if not happy with reply advise them that you are aware that it is an open listing and does he/she suggest that you go to the other agent because they (your current agent) appears to be quite busy and you are after a quick response..

Let us know how you go/

Appreciate the response. Well considering the current agent can’t return calls or reply to emails, I think speaking to the other agency is the way to go. I’ll keep you posted.
