    Hi All,

I have a new site, just launched this week and before I start promoting it I would love to get your feedback.

    1. What needs reviewing?
    Website: http://www.funeralservicebooklets.com.au/

    2. What does your business do?
We sell order of service or funeral service booklets. We specialise in very quick turn around times and a quality final product.

    3. Who is your target market?
The local general public, in particular family members who are trying to organise a funeral for a loved one.

    4. What specific concerns do you have?
Feedback on the design and content would be helpful but mainly feedback on the the overall concept ie. would you use this site if you had a need? Organising a funeral is a high-stress time, I want to make sure everything is easy and appealing.

    Thanks so much,
    Shannon

I would think that this is mostly if not always arranged by the funeral company so this is going to be your target market.

A service however, may be arranged directly so you may capture interest that way, but your website domain is funeral based again.

It is not so easy to answer all your questions over a forum.

HI Shannon, personally, I think you have done a great job. Easy to understand and order. But I agree that you should contact/network with funeral homes and admin staff in churches. Unfortunately for you, at this very sad time in their lives, most people leave it to the funeral organiser to do the funeral booklets. I have experienced similar myself when trying to promote something similar in my own area. Yes, you have a great product and service – but it’s reaching the right people – your target market now.

The other challenge is that even with Express Post, guaranteeing interstate posting of printed booklets will be dicey. Time is the essence in these times of grief for people organising. Many times you may only have 24 hours to prepare and deliver which means interstate is not practical – particularly if they don’t have the means of printing themselves from a pdf.

    But, overall, great job.

PS I can’t see anything about PayPal. I think you should be offering easy payment via PayPal or similar.

    Hi Shannon

The image and USP is quite clear, but when I read further, it appears you are Brisbane based. If that is where you are going to serve, then I’d suggest you make that clearer in the heading…

We provide stress-free Funeral Service booklets with an immediate turn around for the Brisbane area.

    or something like this…

    Hi Jenny, Karen and MissSassy,

Thanks so much for your feedback, I have taken it all on board, especially about making the ‘Brisbane based’ part more obvious and PayPal.

I certainly agree that funeral homes will be the main source of booklets for most people so will be targeting them to act as a supplier. This is a side project for me but one I am quite passionate about. My main business is graphic design and printing and so I have all of the printing facilities and have done booklets previously through my normal business.

Thanks so much again for your feedback! Much appreciated

assume there may well be some older viewers on the site, perhaps can make the

font a little bigger…otherwise looks good. clean, simple and to the point.
