    Hi guys,
Just wondering what the going rate would be for a business coach specialising in small businesses, and/or health related businesses? Just after a rough figure.

    Thanks :)

This is a very vague question, and I know you asked for dollars and cents but its much more than that.

What specifically is it you want help with? This is a big question. Its normally not the process its the people you have. Its very difficult to hire well.

The ATO, Chamber of Commerce etc has some great advice and free sometimes. They also give you the right advice. Ask for a specialist in your industry.

Youtube and Podcasts are also free. These are my favourite.

I Know some guys here in Perth that are charging around the $200 to $800 mark. There are people out there like Jay Abraham that charges around $50000 per day, some others $100 000 per day. So…. take your pick. The ones that provide you value and create a relationship without charging straight out the gate is highly desirable, they do seem to care more about what they do and charge for. Try this method, get 5 or 6 quotes and see who has references, facebook is great for that. And check out the businesses personally.

On the other hand have you thought of spending some time 5 days or so and about $5000 later on being trained in what you want and are able to keep . One company that I have used is Authentic Education and the owner is Ben Harvey they are fantastic. I should get an affiliate commission for this, just kidding. They are well worth every penny and you WILL get you money back ten fold.

Please let me know how this goes.

Flipping the question upside down for the moment. On average, in delivering your advice how much would you expect to make these clients in say year 1, year 2 and year 3 of your advisory program? ie what are they are getting out of it?

I would try and answer that question first because its hard to look a business owner in the face and genuinely recommend an advisory solution if there is no measurable benefit they are guaranteed (almost) to get.

That’s why we don’t sell coaching / consulting fixed programs at this point. There is no one size fits all. To genuinely make a difference takes a lot of analysis and engagement which means there must be a big upside for the client because it costs a lot to deliver. There are a massive range of variables in this equation and from what I have seen, in too many cases someone ends up disappointed.

I called around I spoke to 3 different business coaches and it priced at $800 per month, $1,500 per month and another was $3,000 per month. Each provided one-to-one council and insight into their successes and failures so that I could learn.

Good luck, if you want I can give you the name of one that a colleague used and she claims it improved her business by 30-40%.

    Hi N45H

Apologies for rehashing an old post if it has been accounted for, but just checking in to see if you’ve found what you’re looking for?

It caught my attention because I am a business coach, and also own a health based cafe which I built from the ground up. I’d love to be of assistance if I can provide value.

Feel free to get in touch :)

    Petar
