    Hi,

Any recommendation of a good way to create an XML sitemap? I have seen a few free ones on the internet – any recommendations?

Any paid ones out there as well?

    Hi,

It might be helpful to tell us what platform your website has been built on, you might get some extra answers. But in the mean time these are the ones that are listed on google help.

    Good luck :)

If your site is just straight HTML then this one is quick and easy http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

If you’re using a CMS though probably easier to get a plugin which does it automatically.

    Thanks Guys,

Stuart – I have a question. My website has more than 500 pages and I tried the website which says I need to pay $20 for generating the sitemap. I am ok with it but since my website content constantly changes, does it mean I will need to pay $20 every time I want to make a change to the XML sitemap?

    You are using OpenCart yes?

As far as I can see, it will regenerate a sitemap for you whenever you add new “pages”.

That is completely different to adding new “products” – I have no experience with OpenCart so I may be wrong.

You say your site has 500+ pages – but your sitemap says you have about 101 (visually counted :)

I’ve only ever used this service for very small websites. Typically hard coded HTML, 5 page jobs so it doesn’t cost anything. If you’ve got a site at this size you’re saying then just get a plugin or something that updates the sitemap on the fly.
