    Hi,
I was wondering if you find people and refer them to a travel agent or business and then get a commission based on the sale they make through your referal-would you still need a travel license if it was for tours or anything else?

    thanks!

Generally speaking, if all you are providing is a mere referral (either passing the clients details to the travel agent or vice versa) then you shouldn’t need travel qualifications…. I have solicitors / financial planners / accountants as referral points but I am not qualified to practise in any of those degrees (at least not any more) and none of them can deal/advise in insurance.

If you start providing travel advice or act as an intermediary / go-between between the client and the travel agent, this is where you will come unstuck…

    Regards,

    Mark
