Hi, I am looking at setting up a online website to sell sports equipment. Does anyone know of any good and affordable e-commerce website designers. Thank you for your help, Jason.

    Hi Jason,

Feel free to drop by our website and check out our previous work.

We’ve got an online quote form that you’re welcome to use to brief us on the project.

We can certainly get your store online and have a number of different ecommerce platforms that we develop for, depending on your requirements and budget.

    Best of luck!

We are doing some web dev in plone which has some plusses.
It allows you to make any content on the site sellable. Its easy to get paid with it. We have a ozpost module which works with it. Kathy has written a manual on how to drive the site once its up and running so most people will be able to do normal maintenance and the buying and selling without help once the site is up.

    Plone is pretty powerful.

Its an Australian host… the hosting is not incredibly cheap but the owner is a friend.. we make nothing from that end.. we do however have root permissions on the server, is useful.

Hi Jason, where are you based. It is best to get a designer who is near you if possible. Also someone who has done sports equipment style websites. You need to make the sites relate to the audience without going over the top in visitor experience or cost. Here are a couple done by some of our design partners:

    Futsal Plus – http://www.futsalplus.com.au

    Sharks Store – http://www.sharksstore.com.au

    NSW Basketball – shop.nswbasketball.net.au

    Gold Coast Blaze – store.blazegc.com.au

The lesson we have learned in sports equipment is to keep it simple.

Hi Dave, have you any examples of websites and how much are they? Thanks, Jason.

    Hello Jason,

The design costs were basically to create banners and match colours and range from $300 – $600, the sites are all in our hosted Cloud Shops and are around $110.00 / month. We have other sports customers like NSW Football, Touch NZ, Basketball Australia, AIS, NSW Sports Federation so we know the space and what works. I am not suggesting that you use our solution, make up your own mind on technology, but I am suggesting that you keep it simple. Let me know what area you are based in and I can let you know if there are designers close to you. We have a nice PDF about eCommerce in sport which you can download – link is here (bottom of page). The information in the PDF is in general generic and not eCorner focused. We have been building sports club merchandise and equipment sites for sometime and also are the ecommerce partner for SportingPulse who are an Australian company and are world leaders in sports solutions and management.

    Hey, Jason.

Drop me a line if your are interested in custom solution. It will cost more than out of box software with changed header, but the result will be different.
Here are links to some sport sites we created:

    http://altimawebsystems.com/portfolios/web/157/
    http://altimawebsystems.com/portfolios/web/171/
    http://altimawebsystems.com/portfolios/web/124/

We alwasy create custom web design, depends from your goals and requirements we can use open-source shopping-cart system (like Magento for example) or develop completely custom solution.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hey Jason,

Just finishing a current build for an online sports vitamin and bodybuilding site so feel free to get in touch – may well have some great relevant examples of what we could achieve for you.
