Ecommerce Guide?

Hi All

I am planning to start an Ecommerce website soon, to sell kids clothing and accessories. Now here is the tricky part:
As per my thinking, I have decided to get the website done before (is there anyone who can help with website design), list the items, and have the website shared and boosted on Social media to start with.
I do not want to stock anything, and Want to place orders based on what I receive from customers, does that sound alright? Mostly eCommerce website I have seen or ordered from(personal shopping) normally takes 1-2 weeks to get the items delivered, sometimes 3-4 weeks. But I would have be happy to order the stock based on orders instead of ordering them before hand and there are many risks involved with stocking the items as well.
Just want to get the advise here, if this would be an ideal thing to do?
Also, I am looking for someone who can help me with liaising with suppliers in China( because it is one cheap option- tricky part is quality and time lags here) and if anyone deals in these items or know other reliable suppliers.

Just referring to your idea of selling the products through e-commerce,you can’t order certain products as you go from the suppliers once you get the orders in small quantity and unusual products like kids clothing as there is a wide varieties,styles,patterns,etc.Its not like Mens formal shirts for example as you the manufacturing goes all year around.Let me know if you have any more doubts in regards,I am happy to help.
