Not sure if this is the right forum

I am about to start a business as a woodworker in a small sleepy town and a few issues have come up.

I have found a workshop/shed to rent and it may come with a few tools if i can convince the owner to leave them in.
He needs reassuring that he will not be liable if i injure myself or someone else with his equiptment.
There must be some sort of ‘Equiptment Liability Agreement’, similar to that used by rental companies, but i haven’t had much luck finding out

Who do i need to talk to about this?

Some advice on lease agreements would be appreciated as i get the impression he wants to do it on a handshake…….
This could leave me in the lurch if he changes his mind (or him inthe lurch if i damage the joint)

    Any help appreciated

    Hi there heisenberg,

That sounds like a great opportunity for you, and I have my fingers crossed that all the details can be sorted out.

I think you will be wisest to have a written agreement in place before you start, and hope that some of our resident experts can step in with some advice for you.

Good luck for the new venture,
