    Can anyone suggest good and cost effective event management software? I do not have merchant facilities hence have recently used Active Network. The capabilities were limited with regard to reports it was capable of generating and as an American company, getting support was arduous. It worked well in that it was free to create, we were just charged a fee per registrant and we were able to elect to split the fee 50/50 with the registrant. The system however could not differentiate between people paying by credit card and those paying by cheque or direct debit (‘wire transfer’ as they call it) and hence the registrant was charged. It was a bit of a debacle. Event Brite has also been recommended to me however it is also a US based company and I think it may present the same limitations.

    I realise there is some sensational software around for event management but I don’t really not a sized business which can support the initial expense of going down that path.

    Any low cost ideas?
