    hello people.

I recently left my job from the insurance industry to pursue my passion for business.

Although im new to the country and and going to start my business single handily, i feel I should give it a try.

I m interested in import and export both. Living in Australia has its advantages for commodities (grains and pulses) so looking to export if possible.

Import from India, as I have direct manufacturers for leather goods, dairy products, and woollens.I can get these at a good rate. I have done a fair bit of research on the best products to import to Australia and seems like the ones i can look promising.

Im confused where to start and Who to contact. Please could you help.

    Thank you in advance.

You will need to Register an ABN, a business name and create a bank account – but first decide if you want to be a sole trader, company or trust.

An Accountant may offer some good advice.

Don’t forget global payments are an important part of any import / export business.

For example AFEX can assist with these At a better rate than a bank.
